JOAN BENSON'S magical clavichord performances around the globe were of seminal influence in the latter 20th century, re-awakening interest in long-forgotten early keyboard music. She studied piano with Percy Grainger and Edwin Fischer, and clavichord with Fritz Neumeyer and Santiago Kastner.

Dana Professor of Music and College Organist at Agnes Scott College (Decatur, GA), where he serves as chair of the music department and teaches organ, harpsichord, sacred music, and women in music. ANDRÉ LASH holds the Doctor of Musical Arts from the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester , where his teacher was Russell Saunders. His doctoral dissertation (1987) was entitled “The Facultad Orgánica of Francisco Correa de Arauxo: Certain Aspects of Theory and Performance”. Dr. Lash is Lecturer in Organ at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and is organist at Christ United Methodist Church , where he presides over the C.B. Fisk organ Op.82. Dr. Lash is a fellow of the American Guild of Organists (F.A.G.O.) and has published “Iberian Organ Music”, a comprehensive resource list of modern editions of Spanish and Portuguese organ music, available on-line at the national AGO website: www.agohq.org/education/index.html . He has also presented papers and articles on the relationship of organ literature in Spain and France during the early 17 th century.

ROBERT PARKINS, organ

The American organist Robert Parkins studied at the University of Cincinnati with Gerre Hancock and at Yale University with Charles Krigbaum, Michael Schneider, and harpsichordist Ralph Kirkpatrick. As a Fulbright scholar he pursued further study with Anton Heiller in Vienna . He has concertized throughout the United States , in Central America, and in Europe , specializing in early Iberian keyboard literature and German Romantic organ music. His solo recordings include Spanish and Portuguese music performed on the organ and harpsichord, as well as organ works by Mendelssohn and Brahms. He is currently University Organist and Associate Professor of the Practice of Music at Duke University .

JENNIFER SAYRE appears with many ensembles, including Apollo's Fire, Chanticleer, and New York Ensemble for Early Music. Solo recitals span from Trinity Cathedral, San Jose , CA. to Fundacíon Juan March, Madrid , Spain ; featured recitalist and panelist at Simposio del arpa español, Toledo , Spain . She has researched 16th and 17th century harp techniques and music at the Biblioteca National , Madrid , and El Escorial, San Lorenzo . Her radio broadcasts include Artists in Concert on WQXR, New York , and the nationally-broadcast Millenium of Music on WETA, Washington , D.C. Her solo recording Harp music of the Americas is issued by Musicial Heritage Society. Ms. Sayre has also recorded with Apollo's Fire, Chanticleer, and New York Ensemble for Early Music.

Ha actuado como parte de los ensembles Apollo's Fire, Chanticleer, y el New York Ensemble for Early Music, y como solista entre otros, en la Trinity Cathedral, San Jose, California y la Fundación Juan March en Madrid.
