FIMTE Press Book FIMTE is the only festival and symposium devoted to Spanish keyboard music, and has become, since the first gathering in October 2000, the annual international meeting point of musicians, musicologists and builders interested in this topic. (Early Music, London–February 2004)

The piano at the Café-Concert
The 10th Annual International Festival of Spanish Keyboard Music FIMTE 2009 will take place October 9-12 in Almeria-Andalousia.
The main theme for the 2009 edition is the Café-Concert, an institution that was a reference point for the musical life of cities like Paris , Barcelona , Madrid , Granada or Almería from the 1850s up to the first decades of the 20th century. The Café-Concert was the ideal place for the artists to meet and exchanged ideas, a place where the social classes mingled.
The program will include a series of concerts, lectures, exhibitions, fringe concerts and courses.
